(Heels: Mum's, Dress: Walmart, Belt: Trash, Necklace: New York & Co, Earrings: Forever 21. Purse: GOlden Rule Thrift, Rings: Forever 21)I had the best day imaginable with Jake yesterday. June 23rd 2010, our two year anniversary. We started off the day by having lunch at The Full Moon Cafe on cherry street, the hippest part of Tulsa! We stopped in to Cheap Thrills Vintage and the owner offered me a modeling job for her online vintage ebay store! I was beyond excited and I can't wait to work with her and show you all what she has to offer. Cheap Thrills Vintage is definitely my favorite vintage store so naturally, I'm flattered.
Jake and I then headed to Purple Glaze, a teensy little art studio for pottery painting. It was so much fun. I made a plate to hang on the wall & Jake made a theatre mask to hang on his wall! After Purple Glaze we went to Meritt's Bakery for some yummy treats. ie..lemon poppy seed muffin, turtle cookie, cake truffle... Delicious! We ran across the street to some little junk/antique stores and Jake bought me two pairs of precious vintage earrings! Next we went to Silverscreen Vintage where I got the most fabulous 1960's ballet flats.I even got the owner to bring the price down a bit. I was so proud of myself! Wheelin' and Dealin'. Jake was enthralled with an old LIFE magazine from 1947 and playing with the little dog that inhabits the store, Bogie. He's so adorable. He knows me as soon as I walk in, I frequent the place so much.
We then went back to Jake's house and cuddled and hung out for a bit before getting all dressed up and being whisked off my feet to an unknown destination for a fancy dinner. I had no idea where we were headed until we arrived at Utica Square, a high end area of shopping in Tulsa where PF Changs (Our dinner destination) is located. I had never been there before and it was very romantic. Dim lighting, candles on the table.. The food was delicious and Jake surprised me with a long thin box where a beautiful real silver necklace with two hearts intertwined, was tucked. Along with a heartfelt handwritten card that gave me butterflies. I love him so much.
